The door slat through the eye, the zombie versus the shark underwater action, and the box art. Every time I saw this film in the video store growing up, I was too afraid to rent it, because I'd have to touch the box. It was gross. Scarred me for life, I tell you. But it made me never forget it. Disc Ratings (Video/Audio/Extras): C/A/B The audio is "knock you on the head" spectacular - Anchor Bay did a really good job in this department. The video is less spectacular. It's muddy and has a little too much noise going on. It looks better than most Anchor bay titles, but that's not saying too much. The extras are very nice. But there's an audio commentary that's not all that enjoyable. It has huge gaps, and most of the talking is done by someone who had nothing to do with the film. Overall Rating: B- Because of the video quality, I was disappointed. There are some nice extras, that were welcome to see on an Anchor Bay DVD. And the sound field -- I would never have expected as good on a film of this sort. Specs and Features 91 mins, NR, letterboxed widescreen (2.35:1), single-sided, single-layered, Amaray keep case packaging, theatrical trailer, 4 Radio and 2 TV spots, commentary track with Ian McCulloch and Jason J. Slater (editor, Diabolik magazine), film-themed menus, scene access (11 chapters), languages: English (DD 5.1 and 2.0) subtitles: none Bottom line Horror fans have an love/hate relationship with Anchor Bay. Sometimes they give us a good DVD, like Dawn Of The Dead or this one (even if the video is uneven here). Other times they give us something like Q, The Winged Serpent, that looks horrible.
