Film
Rating: C
It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine. Demi
Moore stars as a young mother to be, who figures out that Jesus
Christ is back, and he ain't preaching brotherhood and love -- he's
ushering in the End Of Days. An interesting thriller, but nothing to
jump up and down about.
Disc Ratings (Video/Audio/Extras):
B-/B+/D-
Pretty standard disc. The video is not as clear as I would have
hoped - there's minor artifacting throughout the film. Not
distracting, but if you look for it, it's there. The sound is nice,
but there aren't any extras, not even a trailer.
Overall Rating: C
The movie is watchable, but not as gripping as it could be. The
disc looks okay, and sounds better, but don't expect extras here. |
Specs
and Features
97 mins, R, letterboxed widescreen (2.35:1), 16x9 enhanced, pan &
scan, dual-sided, singled-layered, Amaray keep case packaging,
film-themed menus, scene access (28 chapters), languages: English &
French (DD 2.0), subtitles: English and French, Close Captioned
Bottom line
Fans of Demi Moore will note that this is a pre-boob job Demi -- so
if that matters to you, she's naked in it. Sure she is wearing a
fake pregnant stomach during said nude scene, but she's naked. Me? I
could care less. I found the movie a bit predictable, and slow. The
DVD is substandard from what I'm grown accustomed to from
Columbia/Tristar. It's a rental.
