My Giant
1998 (1998) - Warner Bros.
review by Todd Doogan,
special to The Digital Bits

Film
Rating: B+
For all the bad things that can be said about Billy Crystal's movie
career of late, My Giant -- on
the small screen at least, is an enjoyable character study. And it's
pretty fun too.
Disc Ratings (Video/Audio/Extras):
B+/B+/C
The disc looks and sounds pretty standard. No real stand-out
elements to be found in either area. Special features are pretty
nonexistent, unless you call 5 trailers (including the My
Giant trailer) special.
Overall Rating: B-
It's a movie I'm glad I gave a second chance on video. The
self-effacing that Steven Seagal does in the movie is more than
worth getting this flick on DVD. |
Specs
and Features
104 mins, PG, letterboxed widescreen (1.85:1), 16x9 enhanced, full
frame (1.33:1), dual-sided, single-layered, production notes,
Snapper case, trailers for My Giant,
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,
Beetlejuice, Father's
Day, Vegas Vacation
and Mister Roberts,
film-themed menu screens, scene access (34 chapters), languages:
English (DD 5.1), subtitles: English & French, Close Captioned
Bottom line
Funny movie, good looking DVD. I say, if you can stomach Billy
Crystal this is at the very least, a rentable film.
