Lovesick
1983 (1998) - Warner Bros.
review by Todd Doogan,
special to The Digital Bits

Film
Rating: C-
Writer/director Marshall Brickman helped Woody Allen bring Annie
Hall to life, and after seeing this movie, it's easy to
see who brought more talent to the table. Brickman's Lovesick
reads like a standard SNL
sketch movie. Outlandish characters surround Dudley Moore as he
comes to grips with love and life, as a Manhattan psychiatrist who
falls in love with patient Elizabeth McGovern.
Disc Ratings (Video/Audio/Extras):
B-/C-/F
The audio is mono. The video is a little hazy and there are no
extras. Yep, that's about it.
Overall Rating: D+
Tired flick, much less than spectacular DVD. Can anyone figure out
I'm not a fan of the film? |
Specs
and Features
96 mins, PG, full frame (1.33:1), single-sided, single-layered,
Snapper case, scene access (33 chapters), language: English (DD 2.0
mono), subtitles: English, Close Captioned
Bottom line
I wouldn't buy it, but that's just me. I guess it's an okay DVD, if
you have a serious inkling to pick it up. Otherwise, a bargain-bin
rental.
