Artist of the Month Program

Artist of the Month Archive & Link Section

This could be your chance to showoff your work! On August 1, 2003, The Digital Bits officially premiered its Artist of the Month Program. This program is designed to give all types of artists the exposure they deserve. We are looking for painters, photographers, sculptors, woodworkers, mixed media - you name it. You'll find a list of our current and previous Artists of the Month by clicking the links posted above.

Samples of YOUR work, sales/contact information and banner links to your website could be here for all our readers to see. If you're interested in sharing your art with the world, or receiving more information about this program, please contact Sarah Hunt at: thedigitalbits@aol.com
You could be the next featured artist!

How the Program Works

The Digital Bits is one of the most respected DVD sites on the Internet. Site editors Bill Hunt and Todd Doogan have helped to shape the DVD format since its debut in early 1997. The site serves over 12 million pages a month to its readers, who include a Who's Who of the film and entertainment industry, so it's a great vehicle to help expose your art to the public worldwide. In addition, Hunt and Doogan have written a book on DVD that's sold extremely well on Amazon.com and at Barnes & Noble, which will bring even more new readers to The Digital Bits.

There are no charges involved in this program - no money will ever change hands. It works on the barter system - goods for services. Our main goal is to use our surplus banner space and bandwidth to help artists expose their work to a new and wider audience.

What you get out of the Artist of the Month program is:

The Artist of the Month "gold button" on our home page identifying you as the Artist of the Month that links to a page filled with your work. This graphic will receive unlimited impressions for the month which is likely to be well over 1 million.

You will be featured on our Artist of the Month page. We'll post detailed information about you, high-quality images of samples of your work, sales and contact information for you and links to your own website. We'll also create a permanent 120x120 button link in the Artist of the Month archives for the length of the program to keep your work in the public eye.

All we ask in return is a piece of your art to enjoy. That's the only cost to you. You'll also receive up to 400,000 additional banner impressions throughout the pages of The Digital Bits, depending on the trade value.

You can learn lots more about our site history, traffic statistics and the editors by clicking here. And please feel free to e-mail Sarah Hunt if you have any questions, or would like to submit yourself and your work for consideration in future months. We look forward to working with you! And we hope Artist of the Month program will be a worthwhile and rewarding for all you artists (and readers) out there!
