About the Artist of the Month Program

The Digital Bits is happy to present the fourth artist in our Artist of the Month program. Scott Moore works in watercolors and oils. He has a gallery and studio in Laguna Beach, CA. If you are a southern California resident, you may have seen his work in Laguna Beach at the Festival of Arts and the Sawdust Art Festival. You'll find samples of his artwork below, along with his bio. I encourage you all to visit his site www.scottmooreart.com to check out his interesting view of the world. He plays with scale and the combining of different objects in his paintings. Follow the step by step process of how he got to the final product of his piece "Flyfishing in Pears". Be sure to check that out, I found it very interesting! He sells very affordable reproductions of his paintings, so give the gift of art this holiday season. And stay tuned for another great Laguna Beach artist in December. Have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!

Artist's Bio

Scott Moore is known internationally for his watercolors and oils, and over the past 26 years has received numerous awards for his work. He incorporates two scales within the same painting, giving a personal insight into the story he is telling. His unique perspective comes from childhood experiences, with many of his paintings containing objects from the 1950's and 1960's. Scott has created limited editions of many of his surreal works, and these along with his original paintings, can be seen on his website at www.scottmooreart.com.

We hope you enjoy our look at the work of Scott Moore. Don't forget to visit his website to see more!!

We've received numerous submissions for the program so far. It seems there are a lot of talented people out there. The program is open to artists of all kinds - painters, sculptors, illustrators, photographers and even performance artists. If you're interested in sharing your art with the world, or receiving more information about this program, please contact Sarah Hunt or click on the link below.
