Artist's Bio - Danny Beck

For me, the ability to draw and visualize has just been a way of life. I can't imagine my world without it. I began my career as an illustrator while still in my teens. This experience helped define my style. Although I have professional training for skill development, I was definitely influenced by the work of established animator Don Bluth. I have also aspired for the design sense of Brian Froud and Tony Diterlizzi.

My early goals found me exploring the worlds of feature animation but I soon found myself involved in game-art design and the 3rd dimension. Maintaining versatility in my field is very important to me, so I never set limits for myself in exploring other new and exciting opportunities. . From life-drawing to tattoo art, illustration for children's books to character design for video games, no matter what the task I am always willing to try something new and exciting to expand my repertoire. I remain eager to learn more and create more in every possible media. Although I consider myself a traditional artist, the 3-D world has been just one more avenue for self-expression and expanding my skills. I never want to lose sight of all the "possibilities" that technology now offers artists. It is equally important that in this awesome process, that I never lose my "edge" or my own personal style. But I will always continue to draw inspiration from such studios as Pixar, ILM, Disney and just about any other visually innovative source. I feel that I have only scratched the surface of my potential and what I have to offer.

Feel free to visit my website at www.dannybeck.com. For any questions, comments, or enquiries in general please email me at dbeck1138@msn.com.
