Artist's Bio - Matt Wolf

For me, art has always been a means of telling stories visually. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, and a love of storytelling has been with me just as long. I dabbled in different manners of storytelling as a child, exploring series of paintings, comic books, and animation, but comic books became my preferred storytelling medium. That is, until I saw the first Batman film in 1989. Here was a living breathing comic book come to life on huge screen with thunderous sound and beautiful music.

I became mesmerized with film and the telling of stories with moving pictures and sound; this fascination culminated with my decision to go to film school. I attended the University of Southern California Film School and obtained a bachelors degree in Film Production, but like many college graduates, I found education is not the only means to employment. So I took whatever job I could find, web designer, graphic artist, etc., but kept with my love of storytelling. My approach is a little more high tech now that I do all my work on a computer using Photoshop and Painter, but my love of storytelling remains and is as vibrant as it was when I was five years old first picking up a pencil. In many ways I've come full circle, because now I see myself as painter looking to tell stories visually. Comics, concept design, and paintings: all are ways of telling stories, and all are techniques with which I can tell my, or your, stories. And I'll edit your movie for cheap too.

Don't forget to visit my website https://www.mattwolf.net to see more of my work, and if you would like to contact me, please email mwolf@mattwolf.net

We hope you enjoyed the work of Matt Wolf! See you next month. Same bat time, same bat channel.....
