The Line

Fans of Kevin Smith lined up in droves yesterday for a special signing event with the director, in honor of the release of the new Dogma: Special Edition DVD. Some camped out as early as 2 AM the night before to meet their favorite director, even through the event wasn't scheduled to begin until Noon. And by 11 AM, the line stretched from the front door of Dave's Video to the end of the block, around the corner, down another block and around the parking lot behind the store to the back door! So many people gathered, in fact, that Dave's ran out of a VERY large supply of the discs. But the fans were polite, Kevin was very cool and generous with his time and, as they say, a good time was had by all. A portion of the sales proceeds for the event will be donated to a charity of Kevin's choice. Here are some pictures from the day - Enjoy!
